Patient Service Representative Alpha III – Registration Dept.

Reports To: Patient Accounting Supervisor
Summary: The PSR Alpha III is a resource leader and liaison, linking the hospital patient accounting functions with the patient's needs. PSR performs duties relative to the patient's billing and collection requirements.
Knowledge: Medicare, Medi-Cal, Commercial HMO/PPO billing guidelines and collection follow-up. Managed Care billing and collection laws and regulations. Able to interpret contract terms. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting . Must have good communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Must be able to take instructions and follow through appropriately.
